The
Symposium comprise a series which began in Tokyo in 1977 under
the foreseeing chairmanship of Prof. T. Asanuma and successively
in Bochum, Ann Arbor, Paris, Prague, Yokohama, Seattle, Sorrento,
Edinburgh, Kyoto, Notre Dame and Göttingen and Nice.The 14th isfv will be held in Daegu, Korea in 2010.The objective of the
Symposium series is to provide a forum for communication and
information exchange in the broad field of flow visualization
applied over the wide range of disciplines that depend on
this technique. These include: experimental and computational
fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, mechanical and chemical engineering,
metallurgy, meteorology, oceanography, biomedical, food and
agricultural technology. The proceedings of the conferences
have been published on CD since the initiative taken by Prof.
G. M. Carlomagno at the Sorrento meeting allowing authors
to include in their papers color, video clips and animations.
